22 Remington Jet

The .22 jet is a .357 necked down to a .22. Why not try necking down a .357 then trimming it to length. I have never done this , but someone must have, to come up with the original cartridge.

Thanks for that, I have tried doing so with moderate success, and had a problem with neck splitting despite annealing the cases. It might be that my 357 cases are just too old...( The word "Moses" is on their headstamp !).
However, since my first post I've found a source for new mfg. brass.

I have some 22 Rem Jet available, if you are interested, please send me your e-mail address. I am a collector, not a business.

Kevan what I don't make I get from Buffalo Arms out of Idaho.

I have had really good luck making them from new brass and annealling it after the first forming step.

After it has benn shot I have had good luck but only after I anneal before resizing. Other wise I loose quite a few.

Good Luck Ken.
