Hi Guys

I need some help to determin the value of an old pump action 22.
The left side of the octagon barrel is stamped "22 Remington special"
The right side of the barrel along with all the proof marks etc.. is stamped "WRFL" it also has powder '3 grs-45 bullet'
As I said before it is a pump action and is also a take down model.
There is no model number on it, only the remington name and the UMC trademark.
I don't have any pictures of it, but would place it in the good condition catagory.
Any ideas of value would be appreciated.

Thanks

Most any thing from that era with an Octo barrel is worth something. In order to judge worth, the amount of original bluing and weather or not the stock has been refinished also add a lot of value.
I'd check out some of the usa sites like Gunbroker, Guns International, guns america and search Remington pump 22 and see if one like yours comes up. FS

Note the designation you gave----"WRFL."
This means it is not a standard 22 rim fire.
The WRF means Winchester Rim Fire. The cases are longer and fatter than a standard 22.
You can fire standard 22 rim fire in these chamberings, but the cases expand so much that it usually results in the standard 22 case rupturing.
