Yesterday two packages arrived :D and I tried out a couple of new-to-me .22 revolvers. One's an H&R 922 9 shot and the other is a Ruger Single Six with the extra .22 Mag cylinder. With my Ruger MkI I'm restricted to long rifle only so it's kinda neat having .22 handguns that can digest a variety of ammo. I had a good selection of ammo along that included shorts, several brands/types of long rifle, some #12 shot loads & a couple .22 Mag loads. Talk about enjoyable, cheap shooting. Those little guns got a work out and not one hiccup. It was the first time I fired a .22 Magnum handgun and I was impressed. Can't wait until next days off to go shoot a bunch more

what do you think of the h&r 9 shot??....i have a double action h&r snapout model .22 that i got years ago and it shoots fine.....
know annyone who may have a use for it??....i want to get into a single action colt .22.....something about fanning the hammer cowboy style!!....not that accurate but a whole lot o fun......

I love my Single Six. When I'm in the States with it, it works GREAT on gophers with the 22 magnums. Congrats on the purchase.

As you have found out, revolvers have a place in shooting. They are a lot more flexible on what ammo you can use. Plus they can be just plain fun.
I used to have a Ruger convertible so may I offer a word of caution . Something I did once & I have heard of other people doing is forgetting that the .22mag cylinder is in & using regulars 22's. They will go in & they will fire but the cases will split & may be dangerous. Other than that, enjoy them.
