Hi everyone,

I am wondering if anyone has any info on Sears Model 4c it is made in Lakefield ONT. I am trying to look for a part for it. Does anyone know if they have interchangeable parts with any of the savage/stevens rimfire rifle.

Thanks
Vince

I am looking at my Numrich cross reference section...don't see a "4C"

In previous posts, I've suggested to someone their "8C" might be a "6C" because of my Numrich catalog. They replied with a pretty clear picture of "8C". That was a Cooey64B (as the 6C was listed as...)

You can try with a description (semi, Bolt? single shot?) or better yet, some pictures.

Just as a matter of interest, a 6C (Canada) would be a Winchester/Cooey 64/64B, while an 6C (America) is a 490.

I have an 8C that is roll-stamped with SEARS in a rectangular box, plus "Made for Simpsons Sears Ltd".

This rifle just says Sears model 4c. it looks very similar to a savage Mark II but i really can not find any info on it anywhere. I do believe my Dad bought it at Sears but can not find any info on their website about them having used to sell rifles.

yes those savage MK II magazines do work for it. I just need a trigger guard for it which seem to look different then the one that i have. Do you think that if i contacted savages lakefield plant that they would have some info on my rifle.

thanks a bunch guys/gals

Savage might have info for you. They took over the actual Lakefield plant. I have found them easy to deal with. Some fellow CGN'ers have even gotten tours of the plant.

Google might yield results for you too.

Sears themselves have not been a good source of info for me, but doesn't mean it's a dead end.
