.22 wmr ammo suitable for small game

Just wondering what .22 magnum cartridges are most suitable
for raccoon sized small game. The range will be under 75 yards from
a 9422.

My go to is federal 50 grain.

I like the Winchester 40 gr jacket soft points

Best reliability for ignition came from Federal with CCI right after that with several guns I had.

Your gun likes.
The HP or balllastic tip stuff I found spectacular on gophers. But I think they might open pretty fast on a raccoon or lynx size critter

The vmax work great on coons. My fav small game bullet was 40gr TMJ. It did expand and did great on crows and coons as well as coyotes. The 22mag was always a tad much for bunnies and squirrels if shot in the body.

I have somewhere like 8 different brands and types at home. I really like the CCI hollow point meat eaters. They have been really consistent summer to winter for me.

So far my rifle doesn't like both types of Winchester ammo I have, so CCI and Federal is next on the list. Hopefully I can dial it in for small game.
