Whats everyone running in their .22 magnums I see its mostly hollow points or FMJ so what are some recommended rounds for grouse, rabbits, varmints ie coyotes and nuisance beavers/ porcupines?
I know accuracy is paramount and will vary from gun to gun, but I'm just curious if any loads are generally more accurate or effective.

Well, my focus was always what was most accurate. In my case, the Hornady 30gr. V-Max. I only ever shot groundhogs with it, and it dropped them soundly out to 125 yards. They're tough animals too, but, not in the list of critters you mentioned. Perhaps others will chime in.

40gn winchester jhp have always been my favorite. Cci 40gn hp would be next on my list. 40gn will get you most punch out of a 22 mag. but some guns may group lighter bullets better.

My savage 93FVSS with a bull barrel does not like 30gr. But 40+ gr seem to print well. I tend to find that all the 40+ print the same group size and so I buy bulk 40gr CCI.
