I would recommend the 597, i love mine and it will go underground with me when i go. They have that exact model you are looking for on sale at sir/cabelas Canada as we speak, a buddy is waiting on his and i think he got it for just over $400 tax and shipping in

My favorites are a BRNO 611 and a HK 300. I sold most of my rifles but kept these two.
Great designs, great workmanship, robust and accurate.
The Brno is all milled steel parts and the HK all except for a heavy nylon TG.
Both have decent wood nicely inletted and hand checkered.
The HK has the nicest removable scope mount I have ever seen on any rifle of any calibre.
They both have the feel of quality centerfire rifles.
You will not find anything better than these two rifles unless (arguably) you go to a custom gun like a VQ.
