Hi , well like the tittle says what changes or improvements would you like to see in this round. Myself for 1 would like to see better bullets '' we have a few now'', change the 1-16 twist to something a bit faster. I enjoy shooting my mag. but this round has sat with little improvements for too long:

When you can find stock, there's everything from 30gr to 45gr, FMJ, to JHP, V-Max to soft point, JSP and copper plated Dyna Point. What more are you looking for?

As rar said, only thing I'm looking for is availability. Lower prices would be good too.

I'd like to see 22WMR ammo capable of MOA consistently. No rifle/ammo combo I have personal experience with could do it.

I was shooting my 93bsev today, -12 out and shivering in the wind. Tried out a new scope and once I had it 0ed I had several 1/2" to 1" groups at 50 yards shooting the Troy laundry cci's. 200 for 53$ in Montreal.

No complaints here

My current 22WMR is a Ruger American with a 6X Leupold scope. I should be getting better accuracy than what I am getting. This is my third 22WMR and none of them were as accuracy as my 22LR rifles at 50 yards. I don't know if it is just an ammo quality issue? I use 40 grain bullet weight only because I use it for hunting and that is what works best for me. I have not owned a 22WMR capable of consistently shooting 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards or 1 inch at 100 yards.

Get a small bore centerfire such as the 22 Hornet. Got tired of trying to find the one magic accuracy formula with 22 Magnum. Only to find maybe one magical manufacture solution, that may or may not be available in the local stores.
And if it is available locally, costs way too much money, or in a full jacketed version, that is not hunter friendly.
Would rather reload the thin necked Hornet instead.

Zastava Z5 with 30 gn v max I had would put 5 into a nickle size grout at 100 yds.

No reason not to believe you...just hasn't been my experience. I WANT it to be my experience because I really like 22WMR, but after my run-ins with rifles in this caliber...it's officially off the radar for me.

ten years or so ago federal premium 22wmr used sierra bullets, they were extremely accurate in both my rifles & way ahead of any other 22 mag ammo I've used before or since. unfortunately they switched to speer bullets & that was the end of that. emailed the company & basically begged them to return to sierras but no joy. if you can find any of that old sierra bulleted stock, hoard it for when it counts, great ammo.

^Bingo my friend. Only recently purchased really nice Volquartson rifle I have ever personally seen returned to gun shop, was chambered in 22 WRM.
I could never get dependable & repeatable accuracy from the one 22 Magnum rifle I once owned.

To me (as a discerning rifleman) this cartridge is as dead as 'forgotten weapons'!

try the 25 grain hornady NTX - if you can find it. I think you will be happy. This is based on testing 8 different brands in 2 guns. The NTX was the best in both rifles.

It would be really cool to see a 25-round mag for my 10/22 Magnum. I think it would even be legal.

I bought three of the Promag 10/22 Magnum 25 rounders. First one I loaded up jammed so bad I smashed it with a hammer to retrieve the precious ammo.

I've been a huge fan of the .22WMR since I picked up a Marlin 25MN in about 1988. I did a crazy conversion of a 10/22 to magnum based on the work Paul Mole did and it worked great. Then a few months later, Ruger came out with a factory magnum...DOH!!! I picked up one of those, milled the top of the receiver, drilled and tapped it, had it nickel plated. I installed a Lilja .920 barrel that I fluted and bedded it into a Boyds LH thumbhole. Not being a fan of thumbholes I found out, I recently picked up a Pro Varmint, and plan on adding a rear block to the action and doing a double screw bedding job on it. Even with the single screw it shoots groups that I am in awe over. I've also got a stock 10/22M that is very accurate, it's a shame Ruger stopped making them. To those not familiar, they had a steel instead of aluminum receiver and a really heavy tungsten bolt.

I also recently installed a Lilja barrel on a 455 Canadian and initial testing is very promising. There is a bit of torque in the stock so I need to pillar bed it to bring out the full potential.
