220 Swift brass to 6,5X52 Carcano

Any one done this convertion? Going by my Speer manual,it's do-able. Web diameter is .445 Swift to .446 Carcano May have to file a few thou off the rim diameter. 220 Swift brass is fairly plentifull here.

220 Swift can be used to make 6.5 Jap and thats near the 6.5 Carcano.

I haven't done it but the Handloader's Manual of Cartridge Conversions says it can be done.

"Cut off rim and deepen extractor groove".

The book says you can use .270 cases too.
