Any one care to share their load data for 220 Swift? I just aquired a remington 700 in 220 swift and just want to know what others are running their rifles at in terms of FPS.
I have .224 55grn projectiles but they are cheep fmj. Would they be ok or should I go with a different bullet?
Thanks for your help

Hard to go wrong with RL-15 or H-4895 and most swifts seem to shoot th 50 grain bullets just a little better than the 55's. I am getting just under 4000 fps using RL-15 and nosler 50 grain BT's and that is my most accurate load after trying lots of different combinations. Three shots from a cold barrel shoot under .250 and that is using a fed. 210 match primer. five shot groups run around .5. this loads even beats the 50 bergers. from a remington home made VSSF, old Reminton 700 varmint with a new 26 inch stainless fluted Reminton barrel barrel and a hs precision stock with the aluminum bedding block .

i used to shoot 40g of 4064 out of my old remington 700 fluted stainless this load was one raged hole with the 50 nosler ballistic tips tell i burned the barrel out lol...

I am shooting 55 grain Hornady sp, w-w brass, 210 fed primers, and imr4350 for a velocity of 3730 fps. I could go faster but it gives me great accuracy at that speed so I didn't go any higher. It's an old pre 64 model 70 that I shoot. The 55's seemed to shoot better in my gun than the 50's. My accuracy runs from .25" to .70" which is good enough for me.

Bulldog284 has the load! this is the exact load and bullet combo that i used in my swift. H 380 powder is also a good choice
