I am in the fortunate position of having lots of brass for most of the cartridges I shoot. I was about to put some .221 Fireball in the upcoming SFRC auction, then it occurred to me that this brass might be hard to find these days - like .218 Bee for example. Is this the case?

Yes Lapua discontinued it, not sure if they’ll bring it back. They cancelled a bunch of calibers

The guns aren’t made anymore and you can’t really convert a 223 rem to fireball. How the extractor is clocked in the bolt face is different (rem 700). The follower is different as well. This same extractor clocking is on the 300blk version of the 700 rem as well.

Maybe Ryan can negotiate a good price with the liberals for it.

Yes hard to find, I have a LVSF in one and shoot factory ammo I bought for $1.40 a piece for the brass. Turned out to be accurate. Epps has factory Remington loaded ammo for $2 in stock.

most of my brass is converted 223 brass which works very well.

Thanks folks. I was not so interested in making .221 FB brass as selling it. ;) In general, I try to avoid making brass from something else, except in cases (like .256 Newton) where correct headstamp is hard to find. Having the correct H/S helps keep my ammo organized.

I went ahead and put the stuff in the next auction.
