anyone play around with reduced 222 loads?

I'd like a 40 gr load with the noise level of a Hornet.

9-10 grs blue dot seems about right. Up to 12 grs is reportedly OK in the 223.


I don't need to reduce a 222 to get Hornet performance, if I wanted Hornet performance, I'd use my Hornet

One load with 40 grain sierra hpt.
12.0 gr Bluedot...3030 avg. fps.. 3 shots/100 yd/ 0.90 inch
