.222 Loads

Picked up a Tikka Varminter in .222...
Used H322 in various amounts, along with Nosler BT 50 and 55, as well as SMK 53Gr., and the best I was seeing was 0.5 MOA.
I don't want to complain, but I sense there is better to come.
Any one with powder/projectile suggestions?

Sierra 50 grain Blitz/20.5 IMR4198. Also try Hornady 40 grain V-Max/20 grains IMR4198. These are mt pet loads and will shoot .5 MOA or better any day...

24.0g of H335 and 40g Vmax's are one of my favorites. I like the federal primers too.

My pet 222 load is a Hornady 50 gr SPSX over 26.0 grs of BL-C(2) and a CCI 450 primer.

I had the feeling that lighter bullets were more to it's liking and I'll give the powders suggested a go as well.
I was using Remington 7 1/2 benchrest primers, but also have some Federal 205M as well as CCI 450's.

I'm using 23.8gr of BL-C(2) under a 40gr V-Max with WSR primers.

My BSA .222 loves the 55 gr FMJs but any 55 will do...pushing it is IMR3031..22 grains at just over 3000fps. I love it and varmints hate it.
