.223 accurate mag vs .308 accurate mag...

I just had a 6mmbr gun finished and now I want to mag feed it. Does anyone own a .223 and .308 accurate mag that could take some pics and or take some measurements. I want to know if I can mod the .223 follower to use with my 6mmbr. I am curious if the follower is shorter and narrower or both or neither. I know I need a spacer in the rear. I only need to figure out if I cut a .308 follower and redo the rivets or if a .223 follower is more what I want.

Ideally a pic with both mags tore down and both followers side by side would be awesome. I don't want to buy a mag to find out the inserts they made screw it up..
 
Well took them apart and what I found is the .223 on mine has a plastic sleeve with a small follower inside, the .308 has a full size follower and sping spacer on the bottom, springs are different also. The .308 has a fuller like indent that runs the length of the mag on both sides, the .223 is smooth on both sides.

Both mags have AI printed on them, the .223 came with a MDT chassis gun I bought used, and the .308 came with a Ruger RPR.











 
I really appreciate the time you took to do this. I feared they may have spaced it this way but hoped they didn't. There is a company in the u.s. that makes conversions but they won't call back or awnser emails. I do not think they will ship to Canada.

If you ever need any nice wood let me know. I kill tree's for a living and find some cool stuff. Thanks again.

I emailed them twice and no reply. I called them 8 times before someone picked up the phone. The guy that picked up the phone had no idea if they would ship to Canada. He said some other guy would know. They took my phone number but never called back. That was a few weeks ago.

That sucks. I have read good things about the company. If you ever get it figured out post it up here. I am sure others would like to order the conversion kit if it will come over the border.
