I just picked up my 1st black rifle in 20 yrs, a Noveske 12.5".

I'd like to pick up 1000 rounds of .223 from SFRC, but as I only ever shot ammo I was issued, I know zip about optimizing ammunition to a firearm, and would appreciate some advice.

The application is general purpose shooting, I'm looking for a good value and ammunition well suited to the specific firearm.

Not sure what details are relevant, but here are the specs of the rifle:

Any ammo will do. You can even shoot the cheap steel case ammo and you'll be fine. Personnaly, I like the PMC 556 because my local club sell it for cheap and the quality is much better than the American Eagle tactical black box.
