223 Ammo
I'm sure most of you guys are aware of the 30% increase in the cost of Ammo that is hitting everywhere due to the cost of copper, lead and of course who can forget WAR. The cost of 223 ammunition has gone up to 400.00-420.00 for 1000 rounds. WOW!
If you live in Vancouver and want to get in on some old stock before the price skyrockets, I just purchased some Federal ammo from Reliable today for 169.00 for 500. 340.00 per 1000 rounds. I asked and they said that they had 11000 rounds left for sale at that price.

I called three other local shops and they were all 400.00-420.00.

I have nothing to gain from this, I just wanted to pass it on.

Yep, you guys are right... recently I was shopping ammo and prices are way up! Some went up 50%, some 20%... I will need new input for the price list, that without a doubt, doesn't reflect the present market.

They are still charging you to much. There is another store where I got my ammo two weeks ago for $319.00 ( taxes included).
He said this was the "new price".
 
Who has the best prices for ammo in Lower Mainland ? I usually deal with Relible but their prices are not good anymore.
 
i think Dave's carry ammo now, and prices are really competitive. I've never really bought ammo from Reliable, due to their sometimes higher prices on 9mm and inconsistent service.

Marstar has .223. Winchester FMJ Ball 55grs. $125.00/400 rounds... best I've seen up to date.
 
:eek: I bought a few thousand of winchester 55gr. at Lever a few weeks back for 3 and a bit per thou when I heard that prices had gone up on the new stuff. It seems that even the reloading bits and pieces have been hit with the same increases. :runaway:

Big rush at Reliable today because of this thread....got another case of .223 due to all talk of increases, and 7.62x39 surplus (getting harder to find), and lots of 9mm leadless. Need more storage room now...oh well.

Note: I consistently get great friendly service @Reliable...sorry hr :)
