Anyone found a good 223 or 556 as well as 9mm that is fairly cheap and reliably working ammo? Don't want to cheap out and end up buying garbage.

What do you guys recommend for banging off rounds in an AR?

I would try 4-5 boxes of each type, and see what works the best & most accurate out of your guns. It may cost a little more, but it's better than buying a case or two, and finding out afterwards that that brand doesn't work for you.
Just my $.02

I get that each gun may like/dislike some ammo....just getting an idea as to which ones you guys have had luck with, and especially which ones to avoid completely.....

i bought both .223 and 9mm from Al flaherty in toronto and from fishing world in hamilton

Al carries MFS .223 for i think 165-170 per 500 and MFS 9mm for about 110 per 500

Fishing world carries American eagle .223 for about 180 per 500 and MFS 9mm for 100 per 500

All are non-corrosive, MFS ammo is steel cased.

All shot fine, although MFS is dirty.

Picked up spome AE from Fishing World today. A 500 rounds box for $204 taxes in. Plan to shoot some off next weekend at SilverDale if weather is good.
