just bought a tikka t3 varmint in .223 (1:8 twist) and was wondering what's the best bullet /powder combination you have found and best prices for the above

55 grain sp over 27 grains W748 and CCI 450 primer. Any brass will do the trick.

With the 1/8 twist, you may want to try 69 grain Nosler Custom Competition bullet atop of 25.5 grains of W748 or 25.6 grains BLC-2. Both are smokin' accurate. Hornady 75 grain load would also be dynamite. Try it with Varget.

I would Try the 80gr since I am shooting 68-69gr in my 1:9 with really good result.
not comparable to 40-55gr (good for plinking) I try them all in my 1:9
