I picked up some 70 grain hornady A-Max bullets in .22 cal today. The thing is I just noticed is also says .224 on it so can I still use it in my .223 or is that just not gonna work?

Yep .224 is what you shoot in the .223 Rem. These will shoot best if you have a fast twist barrel (1 in 9" or even better 1 in 8"). they don't stabilize well in the slower twist barrel such as 1 in 14" and 1 in 12" which are standard on many .223 and .22-250's.

yup-with 223 bigger is't always better.
if you are not sure what's the twist rate in your barrel stick with 50 gr bullets

Its 1-8" twist. So it should work great. Anyone have any ideas for a loadout on these bullet. I looked in my books and the bullet grain doesnt even go that high. I suppose I could check hornady webpage out. If anyone has been using there own loadout and have done fine with it let me know.
