I have been working up a load with IMR 4895:
25.00 GR
25.5 GR
26.0 GR
26.5 GR
I have been using 40 gr nosler bt, once fired cases. I have been shooting them out of a Thompson encore SS/ bull barrel chambered in .223.
the grouping is at best under an inch using the 26.0 grain load. Obviously this gun should be shooting better. If you have suggestions for powder selection I would like to hear it. I am thinking about moving up to a 52 grain nosler bt, as I think the low bullet weight is not compatible with my barrel twist rate. Love to hear your recipes.
