This isn't directed at you WM, but I'm still perplexed at how
the cheapest bulk 223 is .40c/Rd + Tax and shipping. Is it our dollar? It was only a few years ago it was .30c/Rd or even less.

This is a good deal nowadays but I just don't get it.

How much cheaper can you really get 223 ammo when reloading compared to .40-.45 cents a shot?

By my calculations using the cheapest components currently available 27c/Rd. But I have a ton of range brass I have picked up over the years so I don't factor that in. There seems to be a disconnect I am not accounting for somewhere between the two.

Either way, thanks for providing the awesome bulk ammo western metal!

And what also isn't being factored in is paying wages, business overhead, and maybe a bit of profit too. WM has to factor those things in.

the only reason to reload at this price is hobby / wanting a accurate load. (changing bullet weights) i reload 223 and 27cent a round is probably very close, primer , powder, bullet and brass not including the reloading set up. it is fun and a bit challenging but yah ...

Definitely. I guess perhaps those costs have gone up. Don't get me wrong, I would waaaay rather buy CDN manufacture even at increased cost. I am just curious as to how things have changed, not attacking anyone.

I attempted to make my post as factual and emotionless as possible. Not attacking you or anyone else. Just facts. There's a lot of work that goes into reloading ammo. I for one think this is a reasonable price.
