.223 Savage model 25-your thoughts?

I'm looking for a moderately priced .223 bolt action with a clip. The savage model 25 seems to fit the bill although i'm unsure of the pinned barrel. I've owned a savage before (model 12) and was very happy. I wish i still had it even though the blind magazine didn't feed well. Accuracy is important to me but i don't want to spend a lot. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have no personal experiance with the model 25, but I was in the same boat as you. Everyones advice was not to get it. Seemed mainly because of the barrel. I ended up getting the savage model 12FVSS .223. I love that gun

i'd personally stay in the 10 series if i had the cash. My buddy picked up a 25 in 204 and it didn't strike me as a gun i would own. scaled up rimfire.

Handled one a couple weeks back. Felt good, pointed good and the pinned bbl thing doesn't really faze me. The three lug bolt is also pretty impressive, was afraid it was simply a lengthened Mk II action
