.223 scope recommendations please!

hey guys i'm new to world of optics and could use some key advice, i'm looking at getting a Remington 700 in .223 for 90%target ( in the 100-200 yards area) and 10% trying to pop gophers at couple hundred yards. any recommendations for good set of glass? i'm kinda keeping budget in 500$ area

Look up Sightmark, I used mine up to a 338win. They hold up, and they are easy and fast to adjust. they run about 200-500. Redfield is good as well, Barska too. All fordable and are awesome!

I had a Millet 4-16x50 TRS scope on my 700 and it held zero. Pretty decent optics and lifetime warranty through Bushnell. Bushnell has a new line of AR scopes that I'm quite impressed with. There's also Nikon also has a AR line of scopes that have gotten pretty good reviews as well.

Maybe take a look at the sightron SII, SIIB line. Maybe not SIII, but they'd prolly be in your price range.

I use a Bushnell Elite 4-16x40AO for the same task with my 223. Works great.

Take a look at the Vortex Viper 6-24 x 44 or x50, they float around that price range. Very clear glass with good colour contrast, durable, and an excellent warranty. Might be a little much for 100 yards, but not on a target/varmint rifle.

Bushnell Legend - HD glass w/Rainguard coating. 4-14x44 and on for about $350. Hard to go wrong.
