.223 singles

I'm considering a .223 single shot, strictly for target shooting. I understand Rossi did offer guns with 2 or 3 different barrels, but I believe they are out of business.
Any recommendations on brands, availability and scope suggestions?

Definitely the wrong section. Not sure where you got your info but Rossi is most definitely in business. Other makers include H&R/NEF and the TC Contender. As for Canadian sources, I can't help you there.

Rossi is definitely in business, but their stuff is low end. H&R, now owned by Remington, makes their Handy Rifle plus the Thompson Centres. None of 'em are target rifles though. That doesn't mean they're not fun though.
