Are group A RCBS dies ok to use for the AR-15? I was told I may need other dies for a semi-auto???

Ive heard small base dies are a good route to go when using a semi auto. I purchased a Mini 14 Target and am using small base dies (RCBS recomends this on their site)

Cheers!!

Small base dies resize to SAAMI minimum size. Unless you're running an AR with a tight, match-grade chamber, you don't need them.

Also, as an alternative to using a lee crimp die, you can get a Redding sizing die with a bushing for adjustable neck tension. Get a bushing that's a little tighter than normal (I could check, but I think it's a .242"?), saves you that extra step.

"....223 WIN..." Remington's goons are going to be coming for you. snicker.
As long as the sizer die is a Full Length sizer, you'll be fine. A Small Base sizer will do, but it has to be one or the other for a semi-auto. Other than that loading for a semi is no different than any other rifle. Watch the case lengths too.
