i just picked up a 223AI and am having a little trouble finding load data. Anyone else loading 223AI and care to share there loads or a site with some data.
it shoots great just with 223 rem i was fire forming i was going to start with a max 223rem load and work up from there but i keep finding different max loads for a 50grain bullet and benchmark powder from 25g to the 27.3 on the powder bottle any help would be great. The gun smith i bought the gun from tells me he uses 27.5g of benchmark in his and suggested i start at 27 or 27.3

Comment Very mild, accurate

You can probably safely start with the regular .223 max loads (or slightly below) as the beginning loads with the AI version.

I have shot 27gr of Varget with 69gr Sierra's in my regular .223 with no issues which is 1gr over any max published data.

thanks i have found that some of the max 223 loads over fill the case with some powders you cant seat the bullet far enough to get it under the max over all lengh. Benchmark has been working well though

Use a drop tube and/or pour the powder into the funnel slowly. You will see a dramatic difference in cpacity from just dumping the powder into the funnel vs "peppering" it in.

I run h335 under 50-75 gr bullets in my .223 AI. Meters like water, and accuracy and speed are great. I've heard really great things about Benchmark, but havn't tried it.
