Just wondering if the 69gr match kings in a .223 like to be jumped, jamed, or kissed? And if they like a magnum primer like the 75 amax does? Tried some kissing the lands with 24.5gr varget and federal 205's and they didn't imprese me. They chroned at 2950 fps.

SMK's are the most forgiving when it comes to seating depth. It all depends on what your rifle likes best. Try about 26 gr of Varget.

MY GUN LIKES 75 AMAXS JUMPED 15 THOU WITH VARGET AND CCI 450 MAGMUM PRIMERS. I THINK I WILL TRY JUMPING THE 69'S AND LEAN ON THE TROTLE A LITTLE MORE. MAYNARD, WHAT VELOCITIES ARE YOU AT WITH 26GRS, AND HOW LONG OF BARREL? mINE IS A 26"

I am using a 28" long 1:9" Kreiger. Velocity does mean anything to me as long as it groups.

Savage 12 VSS with 1-9 spin and I have found the 69 SMK likes .020 jump. 24 and a bit of Varget, CCI 450 magnum primers, Nosler brass. Gets to 800 no problem.

I load My 69Gr Matchkings over a 25Gr of H-335 to a length of 2.260". I suspect that this is quite a bit of "jump" but I shoot this load in my bolt gun and my Swissarms, and it shoots great!!

Yesterday I loaded the Sierra 69GR HPBT, and had 5 of each from 25 grains to 25.9 grains of Varget. My best grouping at 200 yards was 1.551" with 25.6 grains. Seating depth was 2.260".

This was with a Savage 12 FV, 1x9 twist.
