224 under 75 grain bullets??

Not sure I understand the question as almost all .22 caliber bullets are under 75grs., the 75gr. .22 bullet is a recent odd duck dev.to be used in QT guns, and by military to see if they could make the .223 into a decent stopper of men at a distance. Most manufacturers produce .22 bullets under 75grs., there are many that do not produce those heavy 75 grainers.

Speer, Sierra, Hornady, Nosler,Berger, Winchester, Remington,Norma,RWS,Barnes, even cast bullet makers(M.T. Chambers) make .22 bullets under 75 grs. or am I missing something here(I frequently do).

Sorry people I should have asked who makes 224 bullets between 60 and 75 grains. I just received my new 12BVSS in 223 with a 1-9 twist and was trying to decide what bullets I can find that would stabilize in that twist. I guess I had a Brain F4rt!

My 12 fvss .223 loves 55gr. FMJ with 24.5 gr. IMR 3031. It shoots IVI 62 and hornady 75 also. Depending on the distance you wish to shoot and if it is paper or not. Heavier bullet weights stablize with the 1 in 8 or 1 in 7 twists. If just target shooting for fun, 55s seem the game. My son has a Savage 112 and it loves the 62 IVI and handles the 75 hornady well out to 1000 yards, the 55s are deadly to 300. ( golf balls at 300) Both guns are 1 in 9 twist and handle ammo differently. By shooting a variety of weights and powder amounts, your gun will tell you what it likes.

Good deal, thanks Toymaker. I have some IVI 62's, some Serbian 55's and I have some American Eagle 60's I think. Of coarse the wind here in NB has not stopped blowing for 5 days and I mean it has been brutal winds. I couldn't take it any more and I went out last night and shot anyways even with the wind which actually shook me on the bench I was still impressed with this gun. Most of my was longitudinal but I see the potential in the gun. I was impressed with the accu-trigger as well. Well I have brass now to load up a few rounds.
