Hey Guys,

Im am looking at a possible deal with a fellow CGN'er on a Cooey .225 Win.
From my understanding its close to a 22-250 ballistically and quite an accurate varmint round.
What would the value of a Cooey .225 be? Im looking at trading an Elite 3200 5-15x40 for it and was wondering if that would be fair? (not only for me but for the seller)
Also does Winchester still produce brass for this calibre or am I pretty much hooped there??

Cheers!!

The .225 Win is about 100 fps slower than 22-250. & yes Winchester still makes 55 gr. rounds with muzzle velocity 3570 fps. As to value, that depends on condition of the gun & how badly you want it. Personally I would look at a new .223 or 22-250. Savage, Stevens or Mossberg are really low price & you can keep use your Elite 3200 scope on that. Makes a good package. .223 & 22-250 ammo are available anywhere & .225 are going to be hard to find & probably more money. I just bought a few boxes or Remington 45 gr. varmint loads at Wholesale sports box of 40 $15.99
