if you see ammo priced between 6 and 7 cents a round it is very well priced....slightly better ammo will run between 7 and 9cents a round at a good price....
anything over 10+cents a round is regular market for low volume or quality ammunition.
brands that are cheaper, Remington (many people dislike it, some do), Winchester wildcat, American eagle, champion
mid brands include CCI (most of their ammo is very good), Winchester M22, SuperX, Champion, Federal, etc...
most expensive are Eley, federal match, S&B etc...
still 22lr is pretty cheap to shoot compared to anything else. Buy several boxes and try it in your firearm to see what works best
for plinking you can't go wrong with Federal Value 525rd bulk boxes, for me it works all my 22's pistols/bolts/semi's without any issue and has generally decent accuracy. Honestly you will need to watch the market and like the rest of us once you have found the brands you like buy LOTS when it comes in at a good price.
click on dealer network above and start with dealers from there. Often picking it up local will be cheapest if there is a dealer near you.
