22Lr and Labradar

Trying to chrono my 22 and having a tough time with the Labradar. Wondering if anyone has any tips on getting it to work?

set it to pistol, then make sure your muzzle is about 4 inches behind the unit in order to trigger it when you shoot

Get the air gun trigger for it, and set it to pistol.

Without the trigger, I practically had half my fov orange getting the muzzle as close to the unit as I could without shooting it. Doing this, I was getting maybe 40% detection.

Trigger is about 90%

This is what I do. I'll pick up an air gun trigger at some point since it's a bit more reliable.

i just ran 300 rounds past my labradar today....100% detection. I set the unit to pistol, muzzle was even with the middle of the unit height wise, 6"-8" to the side. muzzle was about even with the unit front to back, maybe a hair behind the unit. had the trigger mechanism set to doppler....worked perfect for me.
