The Postal Matches offer similar targets and sets standards in an attempt to keep everyone on the same page:

It is important to find ammo your rifle likes. This should start with 5 rounds per group, and eventually going to 10 as in the 100 yard Benchrest.

Fifty rounds at one target does not give much more than what 50 holes look like. 5 ten shot groups tells the shooter more so an assessment of where mistakes were made and what needs to be done to improve the results.

The current cold weather does not produce a lot of opportunity even in BC at 0 degrees C.

Some pretty nice groups there guys.
Just picked up a Savage 93 and dropped it into a Boyds stock.
I'll have to give it a go in the spring when it's a bit warmer.

Did a little testing at 100 yards today . . . the temperature got up to 5 degrees.

Using my Marling 39M with a 3-9 X Sightron, and CCI MiniMags HP, out of five shots it seemed like one always disappeared.
Switched to CCI Select and once I got it on target it produced a 5 shot group that measured 1.4" c-c for 5 shots.
The purpose was to show that almost any 22 will work for a 100 yard fun shoot using the 100 yard Unlimited Match target.
Some judicious ammo selection will be required. 2" groups were definitely attainable.
Now that I was on paper, one revolution of the elevation turret should put me on paper at 192 yards with 4 degrees of slope up.
One groups was 4 high and 3.5 wide and the second was 5 x 5. Nothing to prove other than checking it out for myself.

You don't have to spend a lot to get a good rifle. I have under $500 total into my CZ American. I rarely shoot 100 yards but here is the first target I shot with SK Std+. The target has a 1/2 inch grid. Rifle has an old Weaver V12 in steel tasco rings. It shoots most ammo accurately. WW Dynapoints are best bulk so I stocked up when it was $17 per brick. I like SK Std+, it is around $5/ box of 50.

I have the same gun and get similar results .. have only shot CCI Standard in it so far but will look at Dynapoints

SK, aka Lapua Std Plus is great ammo. I've gotten some very respectable groups with it at 50 yds with my BSA Martini Model 12.
