.22LR Conversion Kit for Para wide frame 1911's.

Yup. The top end of any of the major conversion kits will fit your para. Marvel I think has the wide body mags. Not cheap. I wnet a different rout and bought a Ruger 22/45 for training instead. Under $350.00 and it still fit the hoslter.

And what about the hole machined out of the frame for the ramp in the original barrel to fit in? That was my main concern, how does that hole get filled, or does it really matter at all? Maybe it doesn't matter if it stays empty underneath the .22LR barrel?

Thanks Slanto, I checked them out 2 days ago, after DrNick wrote about them. I'd go for the Unit 2 myself, for at least $100 cheaper. But the question is: Can we get the Marvel units in Canada? If not, it might be cheaper to just try to adapt a Kimber unit to the Para and modify an original Para mag to fit a Kimber .22LR mag inside of it. That is, if you can find a full body mag, instead of the POS 2/3 body mags Para sells here in Canada.

My quest goes on...
