Lately I've been leaning heavily on my Ruger mk IV 22/45 for weekly trigger time, but I prefer shooting my Glocks, and want to tie the .22 practice with the Glocks.

I'm looking at Advantage Arms to scratch that itch - anyone have experience good or bad with these?
Also, these say they are geared for the OE Glock frame - anyone try one with Shadow System frames?

Mine is very finicky. Anything but top brow .22 and it turns into a single shot. Frustrating beyond belief, so it stays at home. Conversely, once broken in, my GSG 1911's fun flawlessly with anything fed to them, so it's not like I'm impatient with the AA, or that I'm not accustomed to .22 pistols and their quirks. Mine is {was} on an OEM Glock G22 (.40 cal) frame. While I don't use it, I won't sell it as I don't want to pass this garbage on to another.

That's good news about the Dagger, I'll keep that in mind for mine.

TNA has a G20/21 kit on sale, so I hope it fits my G21 SF with Pic rail.

Ammo? I've stacked up 20,000 rounds of the Aguila 40 gr high velocity stuff and have no problem splashing more for quality 22 ammo.

Advantage Arms slide on a gen 3 frame has been pretty reliable and I'm happy with it so far. They have recommended ammo types but I've fed it a mixed diet of 22 leftovers to see how reliable it was I it's been pretty good when kept clean and well oiled.

My only gripe is the finish seems very soft on the AA unit and holster wear is showing pretty quickly. Not sure if that's an issue on other units to but something to look out for.

If kept clean and run with CCI Mini-mags, they tend to run pretty reliably. I've had a Gen 3 and Gen 5 version (both on factory and aftermarket frames) If you intend to run a red dot on it, get one that's cut for a dot as adding a dovetail plate (and red dot) can make the slide a bit too heavy to run reliably.

My AA works but I never tried it with anything but the approved ammo (there is a list included with it)
I briefly had a Tactical Solutions one... No discernible functional difference from AA

How does the finish compare between the two? I'm curious because CSC had some tac Sol units for sale at one point.
I did not have it long enough to see any wear (maybe 100 rounds) but it looked the same quality as AA. As you know they are very light slides, not sure if they are pot metal or aluminum so if the latter they are anodized in the same fashion.

Only reason I sold it was that it was easier to sell a newer one vs my very used AA (many thousands of rounds) and I didn't really need two... and I was not a fan of the huge self-promoting brand engraved on the TacSol. For anyone buying I would recommend either one equally (barring the aesthetics of the engraving).

I had very good success with a Gen3 G19 kit that I ran for about 5 years before I got my G44. I ran it predominantly on CCI Mini Mag 40g, it could be very picky on ammo and certain brands it simply would not function with. However with Mini mags I probably put well over 10k thru it and it was a great kit with the right ammo

My AA kit works well with Remington golden bullets and any CCI. There is a mag mod that can be done to help with any reliability issues. I have numerous rounds through mine without headache

I have an AA gen3 slide. Has an RMR atop. Runs great with cheap bulk HV ammo. Some initial malfunctions due to magazine. Had to do some minor filing of the feed lips on one. No issues since then.

No problem, should hopefully make the kit a little less choosy on ammo. Worked for me.
I'd always assumed the chamber was too tight. Lots of fired brass stuck. I'd never thought to polish the extractor where it sits in the body, after your supplied video I'm 100% sure it's the extractor, because it runs when soaking wet in G96. Reducing friction = working gun...friction is the problem, not the slide.
