Hi, does anyone know where to get a 22lr jag with male end 8X32 threads. You would think with the popularity of 22lr someone would be making jags.
Thankx

The Tipton brass jag set comes with one. h ttps://www.tiptonclean.com/cleaning-tools/jags-and-bore-brushes/13-piece-solid-brass-jag-set/749245.html

Make sure that you get a cleaning rod that will fit to .22 The one I have (brand is Kleen Bore) measures .202" diameter and has the 8-32 thread, so it just so does work in a .22. Some rods are "fatter" - won't fit. The Tipton jag set mentioned above has the .22 jag that you want, and a .17 - but the .17 is smaller thread - had to get an even skinnier cleaning rod for that one.

Also, I could not find or make patches thin enough to go into .223" bore with that Tipton jag, so had to peel it down a bit on the drill press, so it would work with what I have for patches.

Nordic Marksman sponsor of the site have pro shot jag in stock. you can also find VFG adaptor that is my favorite cleaning product. VFG felt is what work best for me

The tipton jag set also comes with a 20 cal jag if you are having trouble with over size cleaning patches.

There should be no mystery or difficulties concerning .22LR cleaning rods and attachments.

Jags and other rod attachments are made for .22LR. The standard .22LR rimfire cleaning rod takes 8-32 male thread jags and brushes. As a result, the standard .22LR jags and brushes are 8-32 male threads. As an example, below is a Pro Shot .22 jag that has 8-32 male threads. The vast majority of .22LR jags and brushes are similar.

Slimmer rods, such as .20 cal, are often used by .22LR shooters because they are stiffer than .17 cal rods yet are slim enough to avoid risking touching the bore with the rod. The .20 cal rods have 5-40 threads and require a simple adapter (shown below) to use the standard 8-32 jags and brushes.
