Does anyone make such a rifle? I know they existed years and years ago like back in the 1970s when I was first getting into shooting.

I'm looking for a lever action but I really don't like the straight comb western style stock. They're just not my taste.

Alternately, does anyone make a pump action rimfire rifle with a Monte Carlo or similar style stock? Something with a raised comb?

Cheers

Yes, lever action .22 calibre rifles are still available.I know Henry and Browning make them. Most likely others do as well. Not sure if any are available with other than a straight stock. In the past both Winchester and Marlin made curve stock .22 rifles. Most likely one of these could be found on the used market in good condition.

I think the the Winchester was the model 250? The Marlin was the 57. For a pump/ slide action you might look for a used Browning BPR.
Yes, it is a M250. I still have one that I got from my dad in near perfect condition.

Most of the Marlin 39's have pistol grip style stocks, as for pumps the Remington Fieldmaster also has a pistol grip.

The Winchester 9422 also came with a pistol grip deluxe option and Norinco made a knock off that has a pistol grip stock.

I will second Kamlooky's suggestion about a Ruger 96/22. I have one in 22 Magnum - do not see them very much here in rural Manitoba - uses the same box magazine as does my Ruger 77/22 Magnum - 9 round rotary box. They were also made in .22 Long Rifle, so they would use the same 10 round rotary magazine as the Ruger 10/22 and the Ruger 77/22, I think. I no longer have a 77/22 to compare mags to the 10/22. The Win 250 that is here for cleaning has a tubular magazine up under the barrel - some find that a "pain", but no worse than the Win 9422's, and much "neater" and dependable then some lesser thought out box magazines in other .22's.
