22LR - longest range you had and under what conditions.

I can only say that I hear tales of people shooting groups at 300 metres, giving me an aspirational goal. I'm guessing I could sort of shoot 200 on my best days but that range is still being set up at my club. I do believe though that I could hit a barn at 300.

At pretty well every Rimfire PRS shoot there are stages to shoot to 300m+.

Good ammo is key, at the range I shoot Center-X and SK match out of my cheap Savage M2 FV-SR at 300m all the time, on a calm 20C+ it's about 16.5MIL dial in my scope. My best 5 shot group is around 5". It makes shooting my center-fires pretty boring...

I practice and verify my dope out to 300 yards. On a calm day the shooting goes well. On windy days it can be a struggle just to get a hit, never mind a group.

400 yds is a tough go with my 22, especially with uncertain wind. 300 with an aftermarket barrel on my T1X is not an issue, although switchy wind is a lot more of a pain at 300 than 200. Off a bench 10 shots in 8” at 300 is normal. I don’t trust 5 shot groups to show me real results with 22LR. Often 7 or 8/10 will be great and the others will go high and low. Rimfire ammo is that way. The other day I had 10 of a 15 shot group go in 1 1/2” of vertical, but the wind spread it out horizontally. My factory Tikka barrel would not perform at 300 though.

You need velocity. Ammo and a good scope is important.

You need low SD/ES, I don't think velocity is that important as my last brick of Center-X was only running 1030fps... but yes a scope that's got enough elevation and holdover is required for sure, lot's of options these days though. I run a Stirke Eagle with 40moa rail, I should be able to dial and hold out to 500m.

326 yd with CCI SV. Rifle had a 20 MOA rail but the scope didn't have enough elevation. 2 foot wide by 4 foot high target board with an aiming mark centred 1 foot from the top. Hits were about 18 inches below the aiming mark. Not really a group, horizontal was probably 4 or 5 inches, vertical was 14 to 16 inches or so.

CRPS shoots out to 300m and I think their national championship match had a couple of targets out to 350m. I believe the Long Range Steel Slayers League have targets out to 400m.

We've got a know your limit rack at our range that's at 256m, and the target sizes are 8", 6", 4", and 3". The first couple I can hit consistently on a calm day, the 4" is maybe a 50% hit rate in calm weather, and the 8" is doable for me if the wind isn't too bad. I'm shooting my Norinco NS522 with CCI SV and SK standard +. I've got a brick of SK rifle match to try out now too, but what's probably holding me back more than ammo is lack of shooter skill, especially when it comes to judging the wind. I've shot two rimfire PRS matches now with this rifle, and have managed around 50% of my match hits. Lots of practice is needed, and I've seldom shot from positions other than prone or a bench. The first match I shot had one target at 412m, but I timed out before getting to that target. It was the first match stage that I had ever shot, and the first time shooting a rifle with any sort of time limit.

I've been out to 200 m and 300 m in the past (8" target at 200, microwave at 300) with a Remington 597 and Savage MK2? whatever version it was. IIRC I could easily swing the 8" with both at 200m, and 300m was like trying to guide a hit in by guessing, even in dead calm. There were hits on target, but not often and surely no groups. I'm surprised to see someone mention a 32" hold over at 200m, as my foggy brain remembers somewhere around 48" maybe more, and 300 meters was about an 11 foot hold over. It's been years though, so take it for what it's worth.

200y target i saved from last year when i still had some SK LRM. Shooting groups at 200 is very possible. At least 2 sub MOA groups.

Tikka T1x, IBI pipe, 30moa rail and 5-25 Vortex strike eagle. The soft organic organism behind it is the weak point.

Lots of 300m shooting with all kinds of rifles and ammo. On a perfect day Tikka T1X, 20 MOA rail. Nikon scope maxed out on elevation and holding way over it had to be 24 MIL total shooting 400M and hearing the odd impact (CCI SV and Eley Sport). Barely any wind and I was still holding like 2mil of wind too. Was pretty fun

We were at a PRS match last winter at Battle Hill and Womfat was there shooting and his wife was filming. If you browse his YouTube channel you can find the video.

Winds were moderate and it was hard to see the target through the falling snow.

Off the top of my head I do not recall the exact distance to the target, but it was over 400 yards.

In those conditions there were several guys who got more than 8 out of 12 hits. You might find it on PracticeScore.
