Hey guys, I just picked up a Chiappa Little Badger over the weekend and I'm looking to turn it into my compact backpack rifle. I've seen a lot of "survival" style rifle builds on different forums that have same great little additions and now I'm looking for a side saddle mount for 22lr that could be secured to the reciever. Unfortunately any search I do just comes up with 12 gauge holder and all other variations of the search words give me nothing, does anyone know a manufacturer of seller in Canada that carries these?

Edit: wow, just saw what autocorrect did to the title :/

what i did was use one of the ones for 5-12g rounds and used 2 of the sleeves for 22ammo in small tubes, one for a lighter, one for a small swiss army knife and the last for a small survival kit i put together with some iodine tabs, fishing line and hooks, and a whistle.

Crosman makes some nylon ammo pouches that have a Velcro closure and will go onto your belt with another Velcro flap. Since the badger stock is wire you should be able to put one of those on pretty easy. I've got several of the pouches they're a really good quality product that ive been using for years. I've also had the uncle Mike's model which I didn't like because it was a very soft material and not rigid like the Crosman ones.

Some of those in-line shell holders look perfect red_bailey but $30-45 for a piece of plastic?! I guess the project of the weekend will be to drill up a block of plastic and see if I can make something that works the same.

It's MATCH GRADE plastic, duh.

Obviously pretty easy to make something yourself, but these do have retention. A groove inside housing an O-ring of the proper size, or you can see on the white inset ones how they've drilled between two chambers to plug in like a pencil eraser which barely juts in to both.

You want retention with easy insertion and removal, and hopefully also not rubbing all the lubrication off the nose either.

(But yeah: too spendy.)
