i found some reasonably priced 22 LR target amo today.
federal auto match. it's like day and night in my
CIL-ANSCHUTZ. the winchester widcats, experts, and target amo groups like buckshot. this shoots in the same hole shot after shot. price $15 for a bulk pac of 325 rounds. will go out and try it in my RUGER 10-22 tomorow.
optimized for semi auto, we will see.

Have you tried CCI standard velocity or target? In my old mossberg 146b they shoot awesome groups and resonable price.

I have 3 of those Mossberg 146b's, and they shoot almost anything well. Most cosmopolitan rifles when it comes to ammo likes/dislikes I have ever owned, bar none. Regards, Eagleye.

target amo

just got back from the range. i was going to flog my
RUGER 10/22 but now it's a keeper. with winchester
target amo, 2 3/8 in group, winchester widcat, 2 in
group. fed auto match 3/4 in group. i have a 2 power
pistol scope on my RUGER at the moment, but now i
will invest in a decent scope. oh this was at 25 yds
of the bench. my pistol shot better with the auto match.
i've ordered 2 casses.

Thanks for that, I might have to try some. I've almost swore off bulk pack as I've had two bad experiences straight in a row... If these shoot good in my SIG that would be awesome.

I was playing with some elly Tenx and Fed gold metal match yesterday it fun to shoot those little groups but holy cow $18+ for 50 ouch. If I can find it i'll try it.

.22's are like that. You have to try a box of as many brands as you can to find the ammo your firearm likes. Be advised that a different lot of ammo may shoot differently.

Silverback just to make your day...PMC stopped production of their rimfire ammo over a year ago. We loved this brand and were prepared to order it by the skid but PMC advised they were not making any money on it. Phil.
