I don't know anything about the Kimber, but I'm pretty happy with my T87.
Pros:
-extremely accurate
-very light weight (25 oz)
-looks great
-quality construction
-integral rail allows easy mounting of red dot
Cons:
-somewhat particular about ammo (mine prefers SV, which is OK since it's a target gun anyway)
-field stripping is a bit tricky
-trigger has some creep and overtravel (this seems to be less with use, though it may just be me getting used to it)
-magazines are a pain (literally) to load (though since I got a Baby Uplula loader this is no longer an issue)
Most people who don't like the T87 don't because of the trigger. You can't really do anything about it either without a major effort that isn't worth it. But I don't find it that bad and it doesn't seem to affect my shooting.
