Many thanks go out to:

All the people who helped set up that targets and accessories.
Plink and his crew, they aided the conduct of the match immensely
Timk who put all kinds of energy into the match.
All you great dedicated black rifle shooters, many of whom travelled from Quebec and Ottawa and many points north and West of here.
Aim Projectiles (R. Elliott, their Tech Adviser and IPSC expert) for their generous prize list!

Oh Yeah, just one more thing... those of you CGNutters who took pics, please remember to black out a certain shooter's ;) face found in your pictures before you upload the picture. Big thanks for doing this! :D

Thanks for making this black rifle community one of the best in CGNutz network!

:D

Thanks Tim and Hungry for another great day.....

thanks to zxcvn for his spell that kept the rain away.. (i wonder if he has a spell to keep my sks from jamming or a spell to have my ar appear magically from the post office)...:D

as soon as i have a nap and find my ac adapter for my laptop, i'll upload a couple of pics..

I just had a blast. It's great to meet a lot of GNutters in the flesh. Mucho thanks again to Hungry and TimK to once again organize these matches. We're done for the year but Hungry and TimK are wetting our appetites for more SR and CQB next year with added difficulties. For instance, we're going to have to be even more on the ball when we're faced with 4 Fig11 targets, two each to a shooting team of 2. If you get a jam, your partner can complete your string. Of course the total number of shots cannot exceed the stated number for each match, so you have adjust your remaining shots or return the favour on your partner's target(s). I think I'm going to need a brain transplant after this. I'm looking forward to the challenge and will be getting my stuff together during the winter months (dry firing, practicing mag changes, etc.). Looking forward to some pics as well. :D

Great range briefing........... ;)

I had a great time today, thank you Hungry and Timk, and everyone involved with setting up and running the match. I had a blast.

And thank you to AIM Projectiles and Rob Elliot for the prize sponsorship.

Good time behind the gun!

Looking forward to next spring. :D

Thanks. :)

Made a few mistakes here and there, but it was still good.

I do know that reloading the pistol from a chest rig is a lot different than from the belt....

Next time I do some dry practice with new kit before a match or course.... lol

I was really bummed out I couldn't make it to the final match. It looks like everyone had a great time. Hopefully some more pictures get posted.

Hungry, just in case you were wondering what gun I used, here's the info. ;)

Knights Armament SR-15 with UBR stock, MIAD grip, LaRue FUG vert fore grip, Aimpoint Micro in LaRue LT660 mount and Aimpoint 3x magnifier in Aimpoint twist mount, and to keep it close, VCAS sling. Magazines were PMAG and Diemaco.

Not a single carbine-related malfunction all day. Only stoppage I had was user-induced when I didn't seat the mag properly and the bolt didn't pick up a round.

:D

That right there is my #1 issue during matches. My major (user caused) stoppage .

Actually hitting the target is the easy part, it's trying to get all my kinks in a flawless mag change worked out that always holds back my score. Wish I could've made this match last weekend, but I know next year will be great!

that was my problem last time too, i made sure to whack that thing in there this time and only had one fail to feed in the pratice match.... my problem is pistol practice, but once again the fine people here on CGN have convinced my mother and instead of ill think about it she has decided that i can have a pistol in time for the spring start up of cqb :D ps thanks plink :p
