I've have great results using IMR-4831 with exceptional accuracy, however wanted an increase with velocity. Therefore, I conducted the following load development:
-Custom Winchester Model 70 CRF
-27" Bob Jury Custom Barrel - Stainless Steel
-Timney Trigger-set at 1.75 pounds
-Meopta Meostar R1R 2-12x56 Illuminated
-Rifle was bedded, however not trued, only bushed.

Reloading Components
IMR-7828 and Alliant #26
Federal 210M
Weatherby Brass Case
Nosler 90 grain Accubond

53.0 to 56.0 grains of Alliant #26
.015 jump
As with most Weatherby cartridges, it favored the 56.0 grains.

Started off with IMR-7828 with good results of velocity and accuracy, however Alliant #26 showed more promise.
I headed back to the range 10 days later and noticed a little improvement with the Alliant #26. Next step is to experiment with various seating depths for increased accuracy. Only sign of pressure is a little primer flattening.

Track - What twist is in that new BJ Barrel ? My Factory MK 5 has a ####ty 1-10 twist ! I tried some 95 gr LRX and they don't FLY worth a SH*T ! which i figured ! - the 80 gr TTSX and the 85 TSX shoot Well ! I've only loaded H4831sc in mine so Far - Love that Cartridge . RJ

All four of my custom rifles: 240 Wby., 257 Wby., 270 Win., and 300 H&H all have 1:10 twist. With a 1:10 twist, there is a greater chance that a barrel will "LOVE" at least two bullet lengths. My preference is towards the lighter bullets, hence I mostly hunt deer and enjoy the fast/flatter velocity and trajectory. In one of my two 300 H&H's, I'm reloading for only the 150 grain Nosler Accubond, however only going for a moderate load.

If you're searching for increased velocity and accuracy, I would suggest to locate slower burning powder than the H-4831SC. I recommend, Alliant #25 & 26, IMR-7828, VV-570 & 560, Norma MRP & MRP 2. However, you may find it most difficult to locate these powders, since I never experienced such a drought in reloading components. Best of luck!
