Hello everyone,

Question for the gunsmiths out there.
I would like my .243 Rem. 700 reamed to .243 AI, would like to know the approximate price and
availability in the Ottawa area.

May I suggest the 6mm-284 instead, it is a significant step up in performance and the cost would be the same as far as smithing is concerned. This shouldn't cost you more than 150 bucks anywhere, it is not a big job, I have personally knocked the barrel off a rifle and rechambered it to 375 Wby from an H&H and screwed the barrel back on and fired it in 45 mins.

I did not consider that, I would like to stick to AI as I have everything I need for it except the chamber.
So, anyone near Ottawa that can do this?
