will rechambering my 243 to AI increase the life of my 243 (when it starts to loose acc.) or just put on a new Smith barrell. If it makes a diff I have a light barrell Ruger 77. Thanks AJ
Rechambering to AI will do nothing to increase barrel life or restore accuracy if it has started to deteriorate. You could try setting the barrel back and recutting the chamber. This results in a new leade, and can restore accuracy.
