Hello,
Is there a Canadian vendor that sells bulk .243 ammo? I see lots of places sell .223 bulk ammo and was thinking if someone sold .243 the same way. Just looking for a qty in 250 or something, it would make shooting a touch easier on the pocket book.

I know most .223 and .308 bulk is targeted to the AR, M-14/M305 shooters: they tend to be cheap FMJ and the like.

I have never seen rifle ammo other than military calibres in bulk, but maybe some of the reloading services can help? Otherwise maybe ask a retailer or CGN sponsor for a 'bulk buy' special?

I know, not the contribution you were looking for, but those are my thoughts.

.243 isn't normally found anywhere in quantities greater than 20 round boxes. 12 of 'em(that's close to 250 rounds) at roughly $23 each, runs about $287.88 plus taxes and $hipping(Cabela's prices. Le Barons is a bit higher.).
The only part of your wallet that buying .243 in bulk that will be touched lighter is the fuel paying part. What you really need to do is reload.
However, your local gun shop will order anything you want in any quantity you want to pay for. Expect to pay up front.

Yep cheap guns but the ammo is silly priced if you can find it.
.223 is great but cant hunt with it and I find .308 not the best for youth.
I asked the same question about two years ago.

Thanks for the tips, I tried searching online and came up empty on the bulk idea. I figured asking here wouldn't hurt but it seems like a non winning thing as reloading is out at this time. I enjoy shooting my .243 use it mostly for coyote hunting only, would like to do more target practice with it. Just rounds are costly so I guess I will ask about a case price and see if they will cut me a deal. Thanks for the info now for a phone call to be made.

Frontier Firearms sells some hunting ammo in bulk quantities. Contact them or post in their vendor forum, they may be able to help you. Great company to deal with as well. $15 flat rate shipping too.

Please let me know where these cheap priced guns are preferably blr's pre 81.

Dont want to hijack this thread so back to the ops q, some retailers will offer 10% off on case purchases (10 box's of 20).
Also all ready mentioned if you have the time and money to get the gear if you don't all ready have it reloading will cut the cost huge.
