243 or 2506 LH options ???

I am a left hand shooter and need al little imput . I have just made up my mind for a new rifle and I have narowed it down to 243 or 2506 the rifle has to be bolt and SS preferably laminate but a synthetic will do. I dont really need it for hunting due to my meat getter is a 300 rum and it works great I just want a sub min shooter with hand loads for the range or hunting deer sized game or varmits . I dont need another 223 remember Iam a south paw ! What would you go fore Savage , Remington , Ruger or Tika I have$1000.00 I would even go used and custom rebarrel for the right gun So help me make a decision
 
I have a ruger MKII SS laminate in a 25-06 lh bolt. I am really happy with it. Out of the box to the range first two shots at 50 yards I couldn't find the second hole so I fired one more and it kiss off mm from the first hole. The first two shots went right through the same hole! This was with factory 117g ammo. Best shooting rifle I have owned. So far I have only shot 1 deer with it. It was a 60 yd bang flop. The package was slightly more than $1,000 with a leupold VXII on it. I think the rifle was around $900 out the door, the scope another $300 and $100 for the sling and swivels. I am really pleased with this set up. You have more options on factory ammo with the 25-06 than a 243. Although I do have both calibers, the 243 is in a lever action.
 
I had a great shooting Wood/Blued Ruger M77MII in 25-06. Sold it in a fit of stupidity. I'll likely get one again, 'cept SS Lam like you are looking at.

If you are flexible on the SS criteria, the Remington 700 CDL in 243 would be a gooder also.

They are both great chamberings, but, I do know one thing..... the 25-06 shooting 100s or 110s is AWESOME on coyotes for a long ways out.

Thanks guys I have been looking at a ruger SS laminate or just getting another barrel for my TC pro hunter but I want to get away from the TC platform cause barrels are getting stupid in price and getting one is tougher than finding a LH bolt gun and tc shoots great but. A bolt well its a bolt !donnt have to say more . Any one with a good used or new 2506 lami SS want to sell PM me

For a lefty your expectations are pretty high. Take it from someone who has been there. Don't buy a caliber, buy a gun. Find the rifle that you like and compromise on it's chambering. If it was me, I'd look for a LH SS Remington chambered for the .270. You may have to look across the country or special order to find one. Shoot the heck out of it and restock and re-barrel as the budget allows.
 
I seen the one your talking about and thats just the one but the condition isnt up to par . I guess I am to fussy so I am trying to find a new one or a xcr remington and restock at a later date I have a couple of months to find it you guys have been great help thanks
