My lady has a 6mm 700 that she shoots very well. I like it from a reloading point of view.
However, it is a RHer and she is a lefty. She just bought a Rem CDL LH in .243off GunNutz and I've loaded her up a batch. My first experience with Norma brass and I must say, I'm impressed!
My concern is the depth that 100 gr bullets go into the powder space below the neck. There is far less intrusion with the longer necked 6mm case. Is a potential cause for concern with the .243?
I loaded to recommended OAL with several different makes and two powders - Varget and IMR 4350. Both loads are 3-4 grs under max as per first load caution with an unknown rifle.
Once I get some once-fired, I'll play with OAL, seating out to suit what the rifle will accept.
