Just bought a nice old BDL in 24" sporter barrel and curious on good reloads for this rifle. It's probably going to be used mostly for a bit of target shooting and predator hunting. Any tips would be appreciated. This won't be my primary large game rifle. Thanks.

My nicest groups came from reloder25 powder with 120gr hornady bullets.
My buddy;s rifle liked reloader 22 with 115gr TSX bullets and with the 80gr TSX bullets the recommended powder was Hybrid 100. FS

59 grains of IMR4831 under an 85 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip yields 3550fps...58 grains of IMR4831 under a 100 Grain Nosler Partition yields 3430fps...Both loads have vicious half inch accuracy in my rifle and brass life is decent...Although warmish loads like these can torch a chrome-moly barrel in less then a 1000 cold bore rounds...I've done it twice now.

I figure the 25-06 was designed to burn out not fade away...So that's how I load it.

Mine is reloader 19 With barns 100 gr tsx or ttsx not loaded hot at all but it's like a lazer beam and it's moving around 3000...3100 fps out of a browning bar semi 24" barrel

Not sure if this help...
