25-20 on a bolt action?

I've got a Savage 23B and a 219 in 25-20. Gonna get rid of the 23B cause the single shot is all I need. I mainly just use the cartridge for taking care of porcupines that are skirting the trees on my lot because of the low velocity of it. Heck I think the 22 is faster than a 25-20.
