Hello.

I am asking on my uncles behalf about 25-20 winchester ammunition. I know nothing about it, but he is wondering about a source for it as he claims it is no longer available in retail stores? Can anyone confirm or deny that? Any hidden, backstreet sources anyone knows of? Does anyone reload and sell it?

Thanks! :D

The ammo manufacturers only run ( manufacture) the 25-20 ammo every few years. It is not readily available so many like myself reload the casings. There may be a couple places that are licensed to sell reloaded ammo but I am unsure who they are. The 25-20 is a great critter caliber and many a gopher has fallen for me. Easy to reload and not much powder makes it about the cost of 10 cents a cartridge. Home reloaders have to be very careful because if an accident happens, who will take the legal responsibility? If you should be able to find dies, then you may find brass here in the forums.

One of the least expensive cals. to reload as cast bullets work great and are cheap to make or buy, no need for a GC design and powder use is only a couple of grains, primer may be the most expensive part. Don't cave to the ammo companies, reload this puppy!
